Medical-grade air purifiers: health, filters… we tell you everything!

Indoor air quality is essential to provide a healthy working environment for your teams and patients alike. Whether you work in the medical, industrial or service sectors, all companies can opt for a medical-grade air purifier. By making this choice, you can limit the risks of contamination or exposure to chemical pollutants, and much more besides.

To guide you through the range of air purifiers on offer, OberA, the air treatment specialist, takes a look at the solutions best suited to the medical and industrial sectors.

The benefits of air purifiers in medical and industrial environments

Clean air in the workplace is essential. This is all the more necessary in environments prone to the proliferation of viruses, bacteria, dust, fumes and other airborne pathogens. To reduce the risk of infection to staff and patients, medical-grade air purifiers have been developed to meet the challenges faced by companies.

OberA’s medical-grade air purifiers all offer undeniable advantages:

  • Improve air quality byremoving pollutants from the air (pollen, dust mites, smoke, dust, etc.);
  • Reduce the risk of infections in the medical sector by trapping and eliminating viruses and bacteria;
  • Operator protection against the use of harmful chemicals thanks to HEPA filters compatible with all our equipment ;
  • Create a more secure environment for your teams;
  • Lower energy costs, as heat is conserved indoors instead of being expelled outdoors. The ePUR and FILTOWER ranges also feature an air destratifying process to homogenize the temperature throughout the room.

What’s more, all OberA air purifiers are designed for professionals looking for a high-performance solution to protect their staff. Another advantage of our air purifiers is that they require no installation. No assembly is required, and they’re ready to use right from the start.

Medical-grade air purifiers: how much do they cost?

The cost will largely depend on the company’s needs: power, surface area to be treated, type of pollutant to be eliminated, air purifier features (variable speed control, timers, air quality sensor), filter (HEPA, activated carbon, saturation, regenerative), maneuverability (fixed or mobile purifier).

To request a quotation, you can send us an online quote or contact our technicians to discuss your needs. We offer a complete range of medical-grade air purifiers to meet the needs of the chemical and petrochemical industries, laboratories, medical establishments or any industry that emits pollutants (aerosols, solvents, dust, fumes, oil mist, gases).

Healthcare and industry: which filtration system to choose for your air purifier?

An industrial air purifier features several filtration stages for in-depth air treatment. Each model can be configured according to your company’s needs, for example combining an activated carbon filter with a G4 filter in areas where odors, VOCs, solvents and organic vapors are emitted.

However, there are several main types of filter, the use of which will vary according to the pollutant to be treated:

  • Air purifiers with particle filters: these include ISO Coarse 50% or HEPA 14 filtration classes, which are highly effective at trapping airborne particles such as viruses, bacteria and pollen. Some OberA solutions incorporate a filtration stage equipped with HEPA H13 or H14 filters to guarantee highly efficient filtration;
  • Activated charcoal air purifiers : activated charcoal is effective for odor treatment. Most OberA purifiers are compatible with charcoal filters.

All OberA air purifiers are configurable. Don’t hesitate to ask our teams to put together the right combination of filters to guarantee high air treatment efficiency.

OberA tip: in addition to the filter, it’s important to check the unit’s filtration capacity in relation to the surface to be treated. Depending on the equipment’s capacity, it will be able to filter different environments, from waiting rooms to storage halls. For example, OberA industrial air purifiers offer filtration capacities ranging from 190m3/h to 20,000m3/h.
