This article presents the problems we identified and the effective solution we implemented. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rubber dust issues<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Explosion hazards<\/h3>\n\n<p>Rubber dust, particularly when very fine, can be explosive. In <strong>our customer&#8217;s workshop<\/strong>, this risk was accentuated by frequent cutting operations. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sparks and overheating<\/h3>\n\n<p>When cutting armored hoses, <strong>the metal framework generated sparks<\/strong>. In addition, the cutting process generates heat, releasing unpleasant odours that affect workers&#8217; comfort and health. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use of multiple machines<\/h3>\n\n<p>Our customer used from 2 to 5 machines simultaneously, making it essential to adjust the <strong>suction rate<\/strong> to ensure effective dust collection.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution implemented<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dustomat Dry ATEX dust collector<\/h3>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:70%\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>To solve these problems, we recommended the installation of a <a href=\"https:\/\/obera.fr\/en\/produits\/depoussiereurs-industriels\/mobiles\/extracteur-de-poussiere-dustomat-dry\/\">Dustomat Dry ATEX dust collector<\/a>. This system, adapted to our customer&#8217;s specific requirements, has several key features: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Water cyclone pre-separator<\/strong>: Upstream, a water cyclone pre-separator separates incandescent particles, reducing the risk of explosion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Additional activated carbon filtration<\/strong>: The dust collector features an additional activated carbon filtration stage to treat odors and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) generated by rubber heating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vacuum measurement and flow variation<\/strong>: This system includes a vacuum measurement device that adjusts the suction flow to the specific needs of the machines in operation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"333\" src=\"https:\/\/obera.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/getattachmentthumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"dustomat dry\" class=\"wp-image-119226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/obera.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/getattachmentthumbnail.jpg 250w, https:\/\/obera.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/getattachmentthumbnail-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Committed to improving workplace safety<\/h2>\n\n<p>This real-life case study from our customer illustrates <strong>the importance of a proactive approach to safety<\/strong> when handling rubber dust.
