The result: as soon as it gets hot outside, these spaces become veritable heat traps.<strong> Temperatures can easily exceed 40\u00b0C<\/strong> during heatwaves, and even higher at deeper levels.  <br\/><br\/>The consequences are manifold:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Major inconvenience for users<\/strong>, especially the elderly and families.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Health risks for<\/strong> maintenance <strong>personnel<\/strong> and on-site staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Premature wear of<\/strong> heat-sensitive technical <strong>equipment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Degraded image of public service<\/strong>, perceived as old-fashioned or neglected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>And this problem will only worsen with the predicted rise in temperatures in<br\/>the coming years.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solutions exist: SEMEPA in Aix-en-Provence<\/h2>\n\n<p>In Aix-en-Provence, SEMEPA decided to change course. Noting the growing discomfort in its downtown parking lots, in 2025 it deployed an <g id=\"gid_0\">innovative solution<\/g> in the Rotonde parking lot: 12 XXL <g id=\"gid_1\">adiabatic coolers<\/g> installed in the underground walkways.<br\/>The principle?
