Nasprotno pa za sesanje prahu s povr\u0161in in njegovo odstranjevanje s povr\u0161in <strong>industrijski sesalnik<\/strong> potrebuje <strong>visok podtlak<\/strong>, vendar <strong>nizek pretok<\/strong>. Centralni \u010distilni sesalniki in sesalniki so obi\u010dajno razvr\u0161\u010deni med visokotla\u010dne sesalne naprave. Da bi se to gibanje zgodilo, mora vedno obstajati razlika v tlaku med vsaj dvema prostoroma\/volumni. V primeru sesalne naprave volumetri\u010dni pretok opisuje koli\u010dino zraka, ki v dolo\u010denem \u010dasu kro\u017ei v sesalni cevi. Volumetri\u010dni pretok se izra\u010duna po naslednji formuli: <strong>V = <em>v<\/em>A<\/strong> * A <\/p>\n\n<p>V = Volumetri\u010dni pretok | <em>v<\/em>A = Povpre\u010dna hitrost toka [m\/h] | A = Povr\u0161ina preseka na obravnavani to\u010dki v [m\u00b2]\n\n<p>Pri pretoku <strong>zraka<\/strong> 2.000 m\u00b3\/h torej skozi dolo\u010den del kanala prite\u010de 2.000 kubi\u010dnih metrov zraka na uro.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Na primer: pretok 2.000 m3\/h pri hitrosti 22 m\/s (78 km\/h) v cevi premera d180 mm ali pri hitrosti 18 m\/s (64 km\/h) v cevi premera d200 mm.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kaj je depresija?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Izraz <strong>vakuum<\/strong> se nana\u0161a na tlak v dolo\u010deni prostornini, \u010de je ni\u017eji od <strong>okoljskega tlaka<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Uporaba izraza podtlak je primerna le, \u010de obstaja referen\u010dni tlak. V veljavnih standardih se kot referen\u010dni tlak uporablja vrednost enega bara (<strong>1 bar<\/strong>). Stara merska enota za podtlak je bila <strong>atmosfera<\/strong>; od leta 1978 se uporablja bar. Ker je vrednost podtlaka ni\u017eja od referen\u010dnega tlaka, se imenuje tudi <strong>negativni tlak<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns are-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>\u010ce na primer sesamo zrak z <strong>ventilatorjem<\/strong>, pride do sesanja zraka, kar lahko povzro\u010di podtlak. Ta u\u010dinek pa je skoraj izravnan z dotokom zraka v neomejenem prostoru. \u010ce pa je prostor omejen (na primer s cevovodom), se vzpostavi dolo\u010den podtlak, odvisno od <strong>volumetri\u010dnega pretoka<\/strong> in premera cevovoda. Na\u010delo delovanja sesalnika temelji na tovrstni proizvodnji podtlaka. Ohi\u0161je sesalnika vsebuje puhalo, ki sesa zrak skozi cev sesalnika in ga izpu\u0161\u010da na drugem koncu. Nastali podtlak omogo\u010da sesanje zraka iz okolice in s tem <strong>delcev umazanije<\/strong> v sesalnik. Podtlak se pove\u010da, ko presek ostane enak in je puhalo mo\u010dnej\u0161e. Velik pretok za ta namen ni potreben. Ker pa so odpra\u0161evalniki zasnovani za \u010di\u0161\u010denje velikih mas zraka, je velik pretok nujen. Dim in prah, ki lebdita v zraku, so majhni in lahki delci.
