A saturation unit is an industrial air filtration system whose principle relies on the progressive accumulation of particles in the filter media, unlike self-cleaning systems where dust is regularly removed to regenerate the filter. In a saturation filter, the media (often synthetic, mineral fibers, or activated carbon, depending on the requirement) retains impurities until it reaches its maximum retention capacity. Once saturated, the filter is replaced entirely. This type of device therefore operates with constant airflow, without a cleaning cycle, which ensures stable, silent filtration with no secondary emissions (as there is no blowing or projection of dust).

Saturation units are particularly suited to environments requiring constant air quality and simplified maintenance, such as laboratories, cleanrooms, precision workshops, or facilities where dust is sticky or greasy and cannot be easily cleaned.

Advantages : simple design, low maintenance, constant efficiency until full saturation, no risk of particle re-entrainment, and a reduced noise level compared to compressed air pulse systems.

The Clearbox TSP is a downdraft table manufactured in France, guaranteed for 5 years, and offering a high-performance airflow of 2000 m³/h.
It features 3 levels of high-efficiency filtration, configurable according to needs: a 2-level version with a G4 pre-filter and an F9 to H14 saturation filter, or a 3-level version integrating activated carbon for the treatment of gases and odors.

To ensure its performance, it is essential to regularly replace the filters. An integrated fouling measurement system indicates the appropriate time for their replacement, and the replacement of filter media is simple and quick.

As a Plug and Play unit, the Clearbox is easy to install. Compact and mounted on wheels, it is highly maneuverable and easily adapts to all work environments.

Self-cleaning Downdraft Tables

A self-cleaning unit is an industrial air filtration system designed to automatically or manually regenerate its filter media, in order to extend its lifespan and maintain a constant airflow. Unlike a saturation unit, where the filter is replaced once full, self-cleaning allows for the removal of accumulated particles from the media surface through various processes: compressed air pulses, mechanical vibrations, or reverse airflow. This cleaning detaches the dust layer (called a “filter cake”) which falls into a collection hopper, allowing the filter to regain its initial performance.

The self-cleaning principle is particularly used in environments where dust concentration is high or continuous, such as in the cement, wood, metallurgy, or chemical industries. It allows for continuous filtration, without system shutdown, and reduces costs associated with frequent filter replacement.

Advantages : extended filter media lifespan, continuous operation, optimized maintenance costs, and better management of large quantities of dust. However, it requires more complex technology (with compressor, solenoid valves, sensors, etc.) and more technical maintenance than saturation systems.

Stand-alone vacuum tables are the ideal solution for grinding, welding, painting, applying adhesives and all processes that produce fumes and dusts which, if inhaled, can be hazardous to the operator’s health.

Features of our Self-contained Self-cleaning Downdraft Tables

Our self-contained vacuum tables are made from the finest materials for maximum robustness. Size varies according to model. They offer a work surface (L x W) ranging from 1000 x 1500mm to 1000 x 2500mm. Rough waste collection drawers are located on the lower section. The table can be customized with different types of platforms and grids, depending on the work to be carried out.

Automatic filter cleaning

Self-contained vacuum tables are equipped with a cartridge filter with a suitable filter surface, and the cleaning system is automatic: a compressed air tank cleans the cartridge, making the work process easier for the operator, saving time. Final filtration with HEPA filter is optional.

The spark separator

The standard spark separator, with a length equal to the size of the worktop, plays an essential role. It protects the cartridge from sparks and blunt objects. It also prevents extracted particles from clogging the filter. The BAS-V’s integrated fan makes it a complete and versatile machine.
