Improving well-being at work
Well-being at work is a recent concept. This is not an altruistic move, but rather a response to the need to retain know-how and boost productivity. Well-being at work means improving safety, protecting employee health, promoting personal fulfillment, fostering social ties, etc.
Air quality is an integral part of this well-being. In addition to preserving the employee’s health, the company shows its willingness to take care of its employees, thus creating a virtuous circle.
Absenteeism at work, cost, loss of productivity…
Poor air quality reduces productivity and significantly increases absenteeism.
Studies linking air pollution and employee productivity have been carried out mainly in China. It has been shown that a 10% increase in air pollution leads to a 0.35% drop in productivity.
Although this drop in productivity is small, it does not take account of disease. Many viruses and bacteria are airborne. Filtering the air considerably reduces the risk of spreading disease. In 2014, the 7th barometer of the Alma Consulting Group institute estimated average absenteeism in France at 16.7 days, which would represent 4.59% additional costs. The direct cost of work stoppages in France is estimated at between 45 and 60 billion euros a year.
Other indirect gains linked to the absence of dust
All companies, but especially industries, logistics halls, … have to call on extra manpower to clean pallets and stored products if they don’t want to have customer complaints.
It’s much simpler to purify the air and rid it of particles than to clean irregular or hard-to-reach surfaces. The air can be purified on its own, allowing your staff to work on more important tasks. So you can save money and improve productivity at the same time.
Reduced machine downtime
Mechanical devices and electronic instrumentation, like us, need clean air to function properly. Dust can get in and cause malfunctions. Most machines are equipped with particle filters to prevent such inconveniences. Unfortunately, the finest particles pass easily through non-specific filters. That’s why we recommend purifying the ambient air to reduce the frequency of malfunctions.
