OberA equips gym with evaporative air cooler

Reduce heat

gym adiabatic cooler

OberA has equipped the gym at the Eugénie-les-bains spa with an EcoCLIM 22 adiabatic air cooler.

Located directly under the roof of the facility, the heat was very high, reaching up to 30 degrees in the gym. By implementing our EcoCLIM22 system, the temperature was reduced by over 5 degrees.

The refurbishment is making itself felt and is much appreciated by customers, who can now use the gym in better conditions.

Do evaporative coolers increase the risk of viral and bacterial infections?

Quite the contrary! This question is often asked because it’s based on a false assumption that adiabatic air fresheners lead to a slight increase in humidity and the growth of viral, bacterial and fungal risks. Our adiabatic air fresheners are equipped with pre-filters and a UV lamp that treats the air while eliminating particles that encourage the movement of viruses and bacteria.

Isn’t the airflow too strong for customers in the gym?

Similar to the previous question on sound, in the gym, some customers may be sensitive to the airflow generated by the air cooler. To alleviate this problem, we can simply move our units further away, if the size of the room allows, or lower the airflow speed via the regulator fitted to all our range of air fresheners.

Won’t sweating and cold make me sick?

No. Our adiabatic air fresheners don ‘t work like an air conditioner, drying out the air to achieve a lower temperature. It’s this process that dries out the nasal mucous membranes and sinuses, causing rhinitis (runny nose) and sinus-like pain.

Our air fresheners work on the principle of water evaporation, which consumes the calories present in the air, generating a drop in temperature without causing a chill.
