Suction sanding table for connection

Our vacuum tables are healthy workstations, continuously vacuumed with a pollutant extraction system to protect the operator. They are ideal for extracting dusts, fumes and harmful particles produced during industrial operations directly at source.

How does a vacuum sanding table work?

How it works is simple: the polluted air produced by the operator is captured directly at source via a perforated grid on the vacuum tabletop, and possibly also on the table backsplash. The suction table is connected to a dust and/or gaseous pollutant extractor.

Pollutants are thus drawn in through the slots and/or perforations in the grille, providing an even suction speed over the work surface. The coarser particles fall to the bottom of the table in the drawer provided. Fine particles and/or gases make their way to the dust collector and/or to a molecular filtration device (activated carbon filter).

What pollutants should be treated on our vacuum tables?

Our range of vacuum tables has been designed to extract absolutely all types of pollutants. They are particularly recommended when the pollutant is heavy and has a natural tendency to settle. These include dusts made of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, stone, wood, leather, fiberglass or carbon fiber, as well as solvents, cleaners and glues, whose density is heavier than air.

What uses are they suitable for?

These types of pollutants are found in the metallurgy, plastics, chemical, wood, mineral and art restoration industries. These vacuum tables have been designed to be used for :

  • Adjusting and grinding parts.
  • Parts cleaning (brushing, blowing or solvents).
  • Manual sanding or portable machines (orbital sanders, etc.).
  • Part finishing (polishing, etc.).
  • Packaging or weighing station.
  • Preparation, formulation and mixing of powders and liquids.
  • Repainting, varnishing, …

What are the features of our vacuum tables?

Our industrial vacuum tables are sturdy because they’re made from excellent materials, just like the galvanized steel grid. Size varies according to model, but the 800mm height is universal, with feet adjustable to ± 100mm. They offer a work surface (L x W) ranging from 800 x 700mm to 2000 x 700mm. A drawer for coarse waste is located at the bottom.

The connection to the dust collector is lateral (right or left). Numerous optional accessories are available to enhance the efficiency and adaptability of the tables for precise work. Optional extras include retractable side panels, a suction backsplash, a lid that folds down onto the operator, overhead lighting, castors, custom dimensions and a turntable.

What are the advantages of our vacuum workstations?

First and foremost, operators are protected against the many respiratory and skin diseases they can suffer. Another advantage is the protection of production tools inside the part, leading to fewer breakdowns and therefore longer tool life. The vacuum table provides a real, comfortable and safe workspace.

A wide range of optional accessories lets you adapt and customize the workstation to suit your needs, enhancing comfort and vacuum quality. Our suction tables are designed to comply with Occupational Exposure Limit Values (OELVs), directly protecting operators at their workstations.

How to choose the right vacuum table?

It’s important to invest in a good suction table to provide the operator with a healthy workstation and the right suction for the job. The first question to ask is how much work surface the operator will need.

Obviously, the flow rate to be used will be directly proportional to this surface area. It’s better to have an optimized but perfectly vacuumed work surface than a large work area with an undersized suction speed.

The different types of table

There are different types of extraction tables: tables with integrated treatment, i.e. equipped with a pre-filter or activated carbon filter for low pollutant concentrations; tables to be connected to a dust collector and/or activated carbon filtration, for high concentrations; and finally, tables to be connected to an existing installation or fan.

Table with integrated extraction and filtration or table connected to an independent extraction system?

Tables with integrated extraction are often attractive because they are compact and often less expensive. However, it’s important to think carefully before choosing this solution, as it can be both costly and ineffective. In fact, a vacuum table with integrated extraction is generally equipped with saturation filtration (filters to be replaced when clogged).

If the table in question has to accommodate a sanding, grinding, polishing, weighing or blowing station, dust concentrations quickly lead to filter saturation, and media replacement is too frequent. In this case, it’s best to opt for a dust collector separate from the table, with a filter media cleaning device.

Options and accessories for our vacuum tables

To enhance the efficiency and adaptability of our vacuum tables, we offer a wide range of optional accessories. For example, retractable side cheeks, a suction backsplash to optimize suction, a lid that folds down onto the operator, superior lighting for greater working comfort, castors for greater mobility, and custom dimensions to adapt to all working environments.

Investing in our vacuum tables is a guarantee of quality and performance, VAT excluded, for healthier and safer workstations, with high-performance suction and filtration systems suitable for all types of work, including sanding, polishing and handling parts made of wood, metal and other industrial materials. Our products are designed to provide complete dust and particle extraction solutions, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
