Adiabatic cooling is a highly economical form of air conditioning

An adiabatic cooler is an investment that easily pays for itself

Affordable, adiabatic cooling is a low-cost, profitable investment. It doesn’t require a budget on the scale of traditional air-conditioning. Depreciation of the equipment over 10 years represents just a few hundred euros a year.

Installation costs are low or non-existent, depending on the type of adiabatic cooling.

There are no installation costs for a mobile adiabatic cooler. All you need is an electrical outlet to start it up.

The installation costs of a roof-mounted evaporative cooler are much lower than those of an air-conditioning unit, due to its light weight (no roof frame reinforcement required). Installation costs for the diffusion system depend on its complexity, but are lower than for traditional industrial air conditioning.

The operating cost of an evaporative cooler is derisory

It essentially corresponds to energy and water consumption costs. As these two consumptions are very low (see above), the daily operating cost is of the order of ten cents for a 250m² building.

Evaporative coolers cost very little to maintain and service.

Maintenance of an adiabatic cooler includes cleaning the dust filter (monthly), the water-holding tank and the evaporative media, as well as drying them at the end of summer use. Maintenance mainly consists of changing the evaporative media every two years.

Service and maintenance do not require specialized personnel with refrigerant approval. They can be carried out by on-site personnel. The simplicity and low frequency of these operations, and their reduced workload, mean that service and maintenance costs are very low.

Conclusion: the operating cost of a cooler is very low, giving a very rapid return on investment.

The depreciation costs of purchasing and installing the cooler, together with its running, maintenance and servicing costs, mean that the operating cost is lower than that of conventional air conditioning. Compared with conventional air-conditioning, these savings generate a rapid return on investment.
