The DUSTOMAT 16M is a mobile industrial dust extractor specially designed for high mobility. It has been designed to make work easier for operators, but also to protect the health of employees. It is ideal for handling powdered dusts, and offers a wide range of accessories to suit industrial needs (extraction cabin format, extraction table, vacuum cleaner, etc.).
Industrial dust extractor: how does the DUSTOMAT 16M work?

Theindustrial dust extractor has been developed to efficiently extract and separate solid particles, in order to reinject clean air into the workshop.
In practice, polluted air is drawn in via a suction arm, an extraction hood or directly via a network of ducts. Once inside the unit, large particles fall directly into a waste collection sump. Fine particles are separated by the filter cartridge. The clean air is then discharged directly into your workspace, or exhausted to the outside by choosing the tubed outlet option.
What pollutants can the DUSTOMAT 16M extractor handle?
The DUSTOMAT-16M has been specifically designed to extract dust in powder form and to enable highly mobile working. Ideal for :
- Extraction of mineral dust such as stone, graphite or concrete;
- Plastic dust treatment;
- Metal dust extraction.
The DUSTOMAT-16M industrial extractor can also handle wood chips and dust, colored pigments, tobacco particles and paper and cardboard dust.
DUSTOMAT 16M: what is the OberA industrial dust extractor designed for?
The first industry to be affected by powdered dust is stoneworking, which generates large quantities of fine particles. The food industry also produces large volumes of dust with explosive properties, so we recommend the ATEX version of the DUSTOMAT 16M extractor.
In addition, these pollutants are found in industries such as metallurgy, plastics and minerals during machining, cutting, milling or material separation.
What’s more, despite its compact, mobile design, the DUSTOMAT 16M is a powerful suction unit that can be adapted to a wide range of situations: suction at the source of the workstation, travel on construction sites, use for dry dusts, direct connection to machines, option for handling hazardous dusts.

Vacuum solutions: what are the features of the DUSTOMAT 16M?
Dust is extracted as close as possible to the source via a suction arm or extraction hood, but can also be extracted directly from a production machine via a network of ducts.
Good to know: the DUSTOMAT 16M industrial dust extractor can handle up to 1140 m3/h. It also has the advantage of low noise levels (73 dB) and low energy consumption. Depending on your application, you can choose the DUSTOMAT 16M extractor in 220 volts or 400 volts.
Another technical feature: the unit is available in twofilter cleaning versions. One version uses a compressed air jet (fully automatic pneumatic), while the second (Standard version) uses a manual blowing system.
Last but not least, its castors and weight of 110 kg give it a firm grip on the ground while guaranteeing great mobility.

What are the advantages of the DUSTOMAT 16M industrial extractor?
Versatile equipment
In addition to protecting employees from the risks caused by powdery dusts (in particular respiratory and skin diseases), the DUSTOMAT 16M is a versatile piece of equipment that can handle virtually any type of dust.
A high-performance, economical vacuum solution
Among its advantages, its maintenance cost is not negligible. The equipment features long-life, cleanable filter cartridges and a manual version with an economical cleaning system. Waste disposal is easy thanks to the tilting housing on the bottom of the unit.
Another benefit is the protection of production tools, leading to fewer breakdowns and longer tool life.
As far as regulations are concerned, our fixed dust extractors comply with the Occupational Exposure Limit Values(OELV) imposed in France.
These features make the DUSTOMAT 16M an economical solution without compromising on dust treatment and employee protection.
Simple installation and handling
The DUSTOMAT 16M’s compact design makes it a lightweight, stationary industrial dust extractor that’s easy to move from one workstation to another. It easily accompanies operators both in the workshop and on outdoor sites.
As for installation, the device is immediately ready for use.

Vacuum solutions: how to choose the right dust collection system?
Among all the products on the market, it’s essential to choose the right dust collector to guarantee the protection of your teams and the smooth operation of the machine. The dust collector effectively eliminates pollutants such as metal shavings, welding fumes, oil mist… in short, all types of particles emitted by your production.
The first selection criterion is to find out about the unit’s filtering capacity, which will depend above all on the type of pollutant to be treated (size, solid state or gas): production of sparks in welding workshops, emission of carcinogenic pollutants, sticky dusts, moisture extraction (water separation technology)… There are filter systems for every particle. This will enable you to select the type of filter your industrial dust collector should have.
The second criterion to take into account is the power of the device, in other words, its flow rate. The flow rate of the industrial dust collector will once again depend on the quantity of your pollutant, but also on the surface area of the rooms to be treated. The larger the space, the greater the flow required.
Next, you’ll need to select the right accessories to equip your machine: for example, do you need a sheath to connect to the production machine, or a suction arm for a workstation?
In short, there are many criteria to consider. To help you, OberA’s specialists will diagnose your work environment, draw up a quotation and test the equipment in real-life conditions. Our teams are with you every step of the way, offering you a product tailored to your needs.
